BSA Ref Sheets (p2)
Reference images used for the rest of the characters in the Benny's Strange Adventures pilot. All drawn using pencil, pen, and colored pencil. the 'TCG!' note on Rainy's page is short for 'The Card Game'-- In my free time I worked on a card game for BSA and set up abilities, types, and attributes for a handful of characters, and made detailed pokemon-esque card art for. Maybe I will post those here, though they were just for fun (and I made them all by hand instead of digitally).
Rainy is HUGE so there wasn't enough room for much of a turnaround. Monsturr designs are always more complex than standard monstaz! Image is from early 2020.
Initial Willy ref. I later redesigned him just slightly, but it was mostly just a change in colors because I thought he looked too much like Wonder Bread. Image is from some time in 2019.
Willy's personality and ability sheet. I typically made these immediately after the design guide sheet, but with Willy I hesitated for some reason, and after the delay I completed it with his updated design. Image is from late 2019.
Barbie's initial ref, drawn right before storyboarding for the pilot began. Her mask's pupils are a little illogical, but they are the way they are for easier visual communication. Image is from early 2020.
