BSA Ref Sheets (p1)
Initial refs and refined turnarounds for the main 3 protagonists of Benny's Strange Adventures. Initial refs are from very early 2019 if I recall correctly, and the turnaround sheets were made for a pre-college animation class I took in mid July 2019. I should also mention that Honey's colors here are outdated, and are much too light compared to her current incarnation. The seemingly random numbers in the initial ref sheets are the numbers of the colored pencils I used to color them in, so I wouldn't forget in case I drew them again traditionally. All sketches made in pencil, colored images made with pen and colored pencil.
Benny's initial reference guide. It may be old, but a lot of what's written & drawn here still applies to him currently. His species are known as Dandies (singular: Dandy).
Updated turnaround for Benny. Notable changes include a smoother pattern, different mouth shape, lowered veil pattern, and simplified leg roots. This was to make him more animation-friendly!
Rocko's initial reference guide. I always dreaded coloring him in traditionally because he's so large, it takes more time and more materials to finish the job. His species are called Treesuits (singular: Treesuit).
Updated turnaround for Rocko. Again, his size was kind of an issue; it was tough fitting all of his bulky tree armor on the page! Added a size guide for him and the others at the top, but I ended up changing their sizes again later on, so it's inaccurate.
Initial Ref for Honey. She probably changed the least out of the protags, other than her color scheme. She is a Bunnybee (plural: Bunnybees).
Updated turnaround for Honey. Didn't change much, just simplified her stripes and legs. Fun fact: in Honey's very early incarnations, she had a single beauty mark instead of 2 cheek patches.
