SF Andrew Designs

Personal interpretive designs for Andrew Oikonny, one of my favorite characters from the Star Fox series. Also features a personal interpretation of the Sarumarine Captain from StarFox 64, whose appearance in the game is obscured by his helmet (and you can only see his head and shoulders through the communications channel icon).
Andrew isn't really hugely important in a lot of StarFox games, but I think his story is pretty interesting from what we get of it. He's Andross' nephew, and seems to be perpetually stuck in his shadow, though unwittingly. He really idolizes Andross-- he is part of the final confrontation with Star Wolf right before the Andross fight in SF64, his flagship transforms to mimic Andross' form in SF Assault (he even fights similarly, though his mech is far weaker than Andross has ever been), and he even joins the side of the Anglars during the events of SF Command, as a display of his commitment to Andross and his domain, Venom. He is quite misguided though, to the point where even in Command, his goal doesn't even align with Andross' because even Andross (in ghost form) sided against the Anglars to restore Venom from the toxic environment it had become. So... I think Andrew has lots of potential, even if he isn't expanded upon in most games.
I also think there are a few skeletons in his closet that not even he is aware of... His origins are not as cut & dry as Andross led him to believe, I think.
Expanding a bit on Captian Oikawa, his full name is Saru Oikawa, and I imagine he's a snow monkey, just like Andross is (Andrew is a hybrid, hence his long tail). His left eye doesn't really move, it's been stuck like that for as long as he can remember. He sometimes wears an eyepatch to cover it up, if he doesn't already have his helmet anyways. Andross' last name is not Oikawa or Oikonny, in fact, Andross is mononymous, so he doesn't have one at all. 'Oikonny' is something like a derived pseudonym that Andrew adopted later on, post Lylat War. Oikawa isn't actually Andrew's biological father, nor is he related to Andross, he just takes care of him because Andross ordered him to, essentially. Andrew does not know this, at all.

Star Fox belongs to Nintendo.

Andrew Oikonny (Star Fox Assault outfit). I think he's had cybernetic eyes ever since his defeat in SF 64; he has a mechanical visor over them during your rematch with him so I think they were badly damaged.

SF Assault design again. Not included: his giant red shoes he wears over the metal ones. I imagine he appears to wear 2 pairs of shoes because the metal ones are actually prosthetic legs.

Custom design for Star Fox Command's version. He actually looks the same in that game as he does in Assault, but I made my own version to accomodate for the timeskip and his affiliation with the Anglars.

custom Command design again, but his bandanna is tied around his neck instead of his head. the communicator on his wrist is starfish-shaped.

Perhaps during his time serving the Anglar Empire, Andrew gains a newfound interest in sailing, something he hasn't done since before the Lylat War. Ft an Anglar soldier.

Andrew Oikonny and Lucy Hare. I guess they're kind of like rivals in SF Command, but I say that very loosely. Even so, I think they have lots in common. Maybe they'd get along if they weren't on 2 sides of a war.

Andrew (SF 64/Zero design) seeks advice from his father, Captain Oikawa (a personal interp of the Sarumarine pilot from SF 64). Perhaps he was right all along...
