Atlas & Wulf

A pair of monster gem cowboys from the distant (100 yrs from now) future. They're for a different personal project of mine, called Crystal Complex. It's essentially this post-apocalyptic anthology type deal documenting the lives of a group of survivors of a mutated virus (tentatively called Medusavirus-Crysa) that turns flesh to (gem) stone, or in some cases even metal. Wulf and Atlas used to be humans just like everyone else, but over time their bodies fully crystalized, changing them into warped monsters. Most monsters have an innate desire to hunt down the remaining humans and consume their flesh, which is something Wulf is incredibly eager to do. Atlas doesn't really care, he just needs outside help for the irritating spikey growths on his back, because Wulf is too brittle to take them out himself.

Atlas is short for Atlantisite, which is Serpentine (various shades of green, hardness 3-6) with Stichtite (lavender, hardness 1.5-2) inclusions. Wulf is short for Wulfenite (orange/yellow, hardness 2.5-3). Fun fact about Wulfenite! It is a Lead ore, which means it is toxic. So... watch out around Wulf.
