Fang is a Frizzie Treesuit working as a chef on a Frizzie starship, called the Fiery Crown Nebula (which is a working title, I do tend to change it often because I have yet to decide. I think this latest version sounds nice, maybe I'll stick with it). For reference, Lola is a Frizzie (and so is Ffrizzy, though she's actually half Bogey, which is a different type of alien species) and Rocko and Sadao (referred to as Sado in the post) are Treesuits. You can find all the aforementioned characters in this post here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/KrK2Dx
as well as more treesuits here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/683PXN (Rams is also an alien, a Bogey variant rather than a Frizzie)
Fang is typically a very energetic Frizzie with a real passion for his career! He tends to mind his own business and is out of the loop for most news circulating around the FCN, though he likes to hear it while sitting down with other Frizzies over a meal. All in all, he's a pretty agreeable guy! His suit is a unique model not found on Monstarre, built specifically to travel through antigravity and cling to walls. The legs swivel independently around the body, so Fang can stay upright within the suit while the legs face upside-down clinging to the ceiling. There is one strip connecting all the legs to each other, which can also double as a guardrail when the suit is upside down, keeping Fang from falling out. Fang is a pretty short guy, as most Treesuits tend to be quite small in stature. He is 25 yrs old at the start of the story, which also means he is old enough to recall the destruction of Frizzault (the Frizzie homeworld). All the lower-rank Frizzies are chipped, meaning Krona, the lead scientist (and recurring villain), inserted a chip into each of their minds, which gives him free reign to override their thoughts and let them do his bidding... which usually means fighting off or punishing defectors or Monstaz. While Krona is in control, the affected Frizzie's colors will invert, often making them appear unpleasant or sickly, and above all, completely inconsolably angry. The most you can do to counteract this is use immense force (and risk harming the Frizzie in question) or hope it passes soon. It's quite a scary experience for all parties involved... except for Krona himself of course.
Technically this is a rework of an old design, but I've never really posted the old version or the semi-recent (2019) post it note sketch that inspired his current design, so I think it's easier to just have this be his debut rather than dig for the old stuff.
