Periodic Table Characters
All these images are from 2019. I had to take a summer school class for Chemistry, so that inspired me to make some characters based off the periodic table! I made full color designs for everything up to Beryllium, but I had sketch plans for Boron to Oxygen that I never really got around to coloring because I had other projects to work on. I'm not too invested in this as a serious project, but it is a fun exercise in character design. Perhaps making or revising more elemental characters could get me out of art block in a pinch?
Hydrogen! Also known as Protium. Protia is always there when you need her.
Deuterium, an isotope of Hydrogen with a neutron in its nucleus! Deuterium is usually found in heavy water, hence Deuter's ankle weights. He often finds himself accidentally causing problems wherever he goes.
Tritium, another isotope of Hydrogen, this time with 2 neutrons! Tritia's skin, hair highlights, and halo naturally glow in the dark. She's very popular at raves and parties!
Helium! Heliosa is light as a feather and can fly anywhere she chooses by using her dress to ride the wind and float away!
Lithium! Lilith's body is prone to crumbling apart under pressure, but she isn't too bothered by it, stitching herself back up each time. She has something of a fear of water.
Beryllium! Barry cannot get enough of himself, and is very meticulous in taking care of his emerald horns and maxixe and heliodor hair. Works best under pressure.
I made another image of Barry because I liked him so much. His mirror is actually another element character who has been cursed & transformed! He used to occupy Barry's role.
